Michael Lally is the Head of Business Development for Replica, Inc., a Kansas City based technology startup that provides data to drive decisions about the built environment. Replica is at the forefront of using a composite of Big Data sources to build high value, affordable, privacy sensitive tools for public agencies and the private sector that provide insight on mobility, demographics, economic activity, and land use. The result is higher confidence in critical public policy and management decisions.
Prior to joining Replica in 2019, Mike had spent over 30 years in the engineering consulting field. Most recently, he was a Vice-president and Shareholder with Olsson, a 1600 plus person full-service engineering consulting firm. At Olsson, he had responsibility for sales and growth efforts across the firm’s fastest growing region. He was also a member of the firm’s leadership team focused on establishing a presence in the state of Texas for the firm. He holds a B.S. and M.S. in Geological Engineering from Missouri University of Science & Technology (formerly University of Missouri-Rolla) and a Master of Business Administration degree with an emphasis in finance from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He is a professional engineer and professional geologist.
Mike has also been deeply involved in the greater Kansas City community for over 30 years. In addition to serving on numerous civic, non-profit, and for profit boards in leadership capacities,
Mike held elected office from 1992-2001 as a City Councilman for the City of Overland Park, Kansas. Mike and his wife Susan have been married for 32 years and reside in Overland Park, Kansas. They have three young adult children.
